Dalmec Industrial Manipulators Support Amazon’s Project Kuiper
Before a satellite ever reaches orbit, every component must be handled with extreme precision on the ground.
Dalmec is proud to support Amazon’s Project Kuiper, a global initiative designed to expand broadband access through a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites. At Amazon’s Florida facility, Dalmec industrial manipulators are used to safely and precisely handle satellite components during critical assembly operations.
A Purpose-Built Solution for Aerospace Handling
For this project, Dalmec supplied Megapartner column-mounted industrial manipulators, selected for their ability to manage heavy, sensitive components while maintaining smooth, controlled movement — an essential requirement in aerospace environments.
Project specifications include:
- Megapartner column-mounted configuration
- Maximum working radius: 3,800 mm
- Maximum load capacity: 1,000 kg
The system is powered by the MEGAPARTNER MG, an industrial manipulator designed for extremely high load capacities without sacrificing ergonomics or control. The MEGAPARTNER MG can handle loads up to 1,500 kg and reach working radii up to 5,000 mm (with 650 kg loads), allowing operators to position large satellite components with precision and minimal physical effort.
Ergonomics and Safety at the Core
Beyond strength and reach, Dalmec manipulators are engineered to support operator safety, ergonomic efficiency, and fluid movement. This approach reduces operator strain, improves handling accuracy, and supports consistent, repeatable processes — key factors when working with high-value aerospace components.
Supporting Innovation Before Liftoff
From advanced manufacturing to aerospace applications, Dalmec solutions are trusted wherever precision handling matters most. Supporting a project as ambitious as Amazon’s Project Kuiper demonstrates how Dalmec manipulators help enable innovation — starting on the factory floor.
